We randomly assign a hostname for your server in the ordering process.
Since our install and config process is fully automated, we also point the hostname to the server IP to generate SSL certificates. Without SSL the automation can not configure web phones etc. So we randomise hostname for the sake of simplicity.
You can click on "Refresh Page" button on the ordering page, and it will change hostname randomly. You can repeat the process until you like the hostname.
If you want your own domain as hostname, you can do at yourself. Here are the steps.
- Point domain to server IP
- Generate SSL certificate
- Update SSL certificates path for Asterisk & Apache
- Modify server and update WebSocket url
- Update WebRTC template with new certificates path
- Update alt-recording domain name
- Reboot server
